G. When arriving, look for our balloon chase van with our name and logo
on it. Our crew members all wear RED shirts.
LAUNCH AREA: See our map with the written directions on the back.
NORMAL LAUNCH TIMES: Morning flights launch at sunrise. Evening flights
launch one hour before sunset. You exact reporting time will be given to you
when your make your confirmation call.
DURATION OF FLIGHT: The overall adventure is about 3 hours, including
inflation, flight, deflation, champagne celebration and the ride back to the
launch site in the chase van. The actual flight time is 1 hour in the air.
DIRECTION OF FLIGHT: There is no usual direction; the balloon flies with
the wind. Our normal altitude is from inches above the ground to 1000 feet.
Balloons have very precise vertical control; however, we cannot control the
direction. The balloon is followed by a chase vehicle which returns the
passengers to the launch site. Your family and friends are welcome to follow in
their own vehicles.
PASSENGER WEIGHTS: If you, or any other member of your party should weigh
more than 200 pounds, we must be made aware of this at the time of scheduling.
WEATHER: More than any other factor, weather controls our flights. Winds
must be less than 8 miles per hour with no precipitation. Safety is paramount,
and the pilot is the only person authorized to make the final "go" or
"no go" decision.
PASSENGER AGE AND PHYSICAL CONDITION: We fly from 7 to 90. Children must
be accompanied by an adult and may not be carried. All passengers must be
capable of standing the entire flight and have the ability to climb into the
basket without undo assistance. If you should have any questions about your
suitability for flight, please call before scheduling. We reserve the right to
refuse anyone who in our opinion would be a safety liability to themselves or to
the other passengers.
FLIGHT SCHEDULING: We fly by reservation only. We schedule no more than 6
passengers in the balloon.
FLIGHT POSTPONEMENT: If your flight is postponed due to weather, you must
contact us between 10 A.M. and 1 P.M. Monday through Friday to reschedule. If
you must cancel your reservation, you must notify us at least 5 days in advance,
or you will be charged an additional $25.00 per person rescheduling fee. If you
cancel within 48 ours of your flight, or if your do not show up for your flight,
your certificates become void and you lose your flight!!
REFUNDS: Flight Certificates are non-refundable. They are transferable
and they are good for 12 months.
REMEMBER, BALLOONING IS AN ACTIVE OUTDOOR ADVENTURE.
While there is no requirement of strenuous exercise, common sense dictates that
those who have limited health conditions should not consider flying.
Additionally, as in any sport, there is a risk of personal injury. By agreeing
to continue with the flight, you are agreeing to accept the above mentioned
risk. If you have any questions, please call.
