  • September 1986 First Place Over-all Quakertown
    Tri-State Championship 95 balloonists participated. Flew AX-8

  • October 1986 90 miles flight, 4.2 hours AX-8, Just for fun.

  • September 1987 Second place over-all Quakertown Tri-State Championship 92 balloonists participated. Flew AX-8

  • May 1989 First place over-all Pennsylvania State Fair 40 Balloonists participated. Flew AX-8.

  • 1989 Pennsylvania State Champion on BFA points, flew both the AX-8 and AX-9 passenger balloons against small high performance balloons.

  • January 1990 Long Flight, 229 miles - solo 7.3 hours, AX-8, Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Allentown, Pennsylvania, Just for fun.

  • March 1990 Best flight, 70 miles to planned landing on the New Jersey beach. 1 passenger AX-8. No pilot has ever done it before or since. Pennsville, NJ to Wildwood, NJ

  • July 1990 75th Over-all U.S. National Championship 103 Balloonist participated. AX-8

  • January 1993 Hired by National Geography Explorer, Filmed Family Flights and FAVIA 200.

  • February 1993 Instructor/Navigator for Long Jump Challenge. flew 120 miles in 2.4 hours, (60 miles/hour at 12,000) Gettysburg, PA to Vineland, NJ

  • February 1994 3rd Place National Long Jump Challenge Zanesville, OH to Warrenton, VA. 245 miles

  • March 1994 4th Place National Long Jump Crossville, TN to Winnsboro, SC 244 miles

  • February 1995 World Record Attempt AX-8 Mitchell, SD to Booneville, MO 435 miles in 11 hours

  • October 1996, 1997, 1998 Hired to fly paying passengers at the Albuquerque balloon fiesta. Only 25 pilots hired out of 850 pilots + balloons.

  • February 1997 First Place National Long Jump Competition 300 Mile long jump, AX-9 Columbus, Ohio to Altoona, PA.

  • January 1999 First Place National Long Jump Competition 260 Mi Long Jump Circle OH to Amherst VA.


  • February 2001, First Place, National Long Jump Competition, 325 mile Long Jump from Grove City, PA to Ocean City, MD.
